Log a drink
- Open the add menu. Tap the plus button on the Home screen.
- Choose a drink.Select one of Sip's drink presets, or create and name a custom drink.
- See today at a glance.The Home screen updates the total and places the drink in today's composition.
Sip records the drink name, artwork, and time. It is a lightweight daily log, not a medical, hydration-goal, or alcohol-monitoring service.
Quick Log
Use Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
Add a Sip widget through the system widget gallery to check your count or log a favorite drink without opening the app. In Sip, open Settings and choose Customize Widget Drinks to select, reorder, or change the icons for up to four Quick Log drinks.
If a widget does not reflect a recent change, open Sip once and return to the Home Screen or Lock Screen so the widget can refresh.
Make it yours
Custom drink images and daily backgrounds
Tap a drink logged today to add a photo from the camera or Photos. Sip can isolate the drink automatically, or you can crop it manually. You can replace or remove that custom image while the entry is on today's Home screen.
For a daily background, open Settings and choose Daily Background. Take or select a photo, crop it, then choose Original, Blur, or Dim. You can replace or remove today's background. Saved backgrounds remain with their day in Past Sips.
History
Review Past Sips and share a recap
Open Past Sips to choose a date from the calendar and review that day's drinks and background. Historical entries are read-only in the current version of Sip.
Use Share on today's Home screen or in Past Sips to create a daily recap. Apple's share sheet lets you choose where it goes. Sip does not upload the recap to Jadonglab.
Apple Watch
Check today's count from your wrist
The Apple Watch companion shows the current date, time, and today's synchronized drink count. Keep the paired iPhone and Apple Watch connected if the count needs to update.
Camera and Photos
Choose only the images you want
Sip asks for camera access only after you choose to take a custom drink image or daily background photo. If access was denied, open Settings, choose Apps, choose Sip, and enable Camera.
Sip uses Apple's system Photos picker for existing images. The picker gives Sip the image you select without granting broad access to your photo library.
Local by design
Local data and privacy
Sip stores drink logs, Quick Log settings, preferences, custom drink images, and daily backgrounds locally. App state is encrypted, image files use Apple's data-protection features, and the widget reads shared local data through Sip's app group.
- Sip does not provide an account or its own cloud sync.
- The app does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking.
- Apple may include local Sip data in a device backup, depending on your device and backup settings.
- Removing Sip removes app data from the device, except for copies that may remain in an Apple-managed backup.
